Generate a purchase order list (PO) for menu item(s) with option to take into account inventory and categorize products by purveyor.
The export formats are CSV and PDF which can be emailed from within the app.5 votes
This is shipping (without inventory component) in 1.2.3. Inventory component will be a part of the next feature set and will be tracked separately.
Total Inventory Value is now available in the Inventory tab.
Sum of all inventory counts in all locations calculated using the lowest currently available price.
It would be extremely helpful to be able to copy, or rather duplicate, a menu item to make a new item that slightly varies from the other. For example, you could have a menu item like a beef taco and would like to make more items where the only difference is the meat (chicken, pork, fish, shrimp). To duplicate the menu item and just change the protein would make it so much easier and leave less room for mistakes. This is true for recipes and ingredients, too.4 votes
This feature is now available on both iOS and the website. Thank you kindly for your votes!
just an example case.. this would become useful when someone wants to add a certain ingredient as a garnish such as fruits or nuts. also it is needed to keep the recipe portion clutter free because so far the only way to do this now is to make a recipe for the garnish/topping then add that recipe to the menu item which would be pointless if the garnish is only made of 1 ingredient. and you cannot even reuse the garnish recipe because the measurement wouldn't be the same.4 votes

We have home made ingredients so we should be able to compile a recipe and use that as an ingredient3 votes
This functionality is shipping in 1.2.6. Not all unit conversion scenarios are supported at this time so the option to take the inventory into account is not enabled by default and needs to be turned on at the final step of the purchase order process.
Currently supported conversion:
- Mass to mass
- Volume to volume
- Mass to volume, if density is specified
- Volume to mass, if density is specified
- Abstract to abstract, if abstract units are identical
- Inventory mass to abstract, if abstract unit has mass specified
- Inventory volume to abstract, if abstract unit has volume specified
Counting inventory using abstract units and then using that inventory count to negate the required purchase order amount that is specified in mass or volume is currently not supported. We will build this in the next iteration of this feature.

Implementation is finished in beta and categories are synchronized with the server. Shipping in the new upcoming version.
This would be much easier and faster than emailing.

This functionality is shipping in 1.2.6. At this time, the functionality is basic but will become more sophisticated over time to accommodate more industry standards. The documentation for this feature is also being updated.
This functionality is shipping in 1.2.6. Import and export in CSV is now possible through Dropbox or by emailing the CSV file as an attachment. This functionality will continue to be improved over time as we add more industry standards and support different types of accounting and POS software.
This feature is now done and being tested. We are submitting it for App Store review and updating the web app as soon as the app update is reviewed and released in the App Store.

It's and incredible app, but if you add the function of sharing recipe, it'll be something amazing.2 votes
Recipes can now be exported and mailed.
Add a way to create a duplicate recipe.1 vote
Add ability to scale a recipe while calculating ingredient amounts and food cost.
For example, you would be able to scale a recipe which normally yields 1 serving of soup to show ingredient amounts required (with food cost) for 100 servings of soup.
More advanced functionality would allow to specify how each individual ingredient should scale.3 votes
Ready for testing in 1.2.5, once it is released in TestFlight.
Only uniform scaling of ingredients is currently supported (i.e. all ingredients scale at the same rate).
Recipes can only be scaled using the same unit as its yield unit (i.e. scaling between mass and volume, or between standard and abstract units is not supported).
Please comment on the usefulness of the aforementioned features so that we could prioritize their development accordingly.
Sync data in background without needing to manually tap "sync" every time.1 vote
Currently being tested in beta. Will be released in the upcoming version. Thank you!
Create groups such as "fresh produce" and add ingredients to it.2 votes
Groups sync as of 1.2.4 #101 available in TestFlight.
We can start by adding a way to indicate % (or amount) loss on each ingredient and this loss will be reflected in all recipes that contain this ingredient.
In addition, we could build in a function to specify the loss based on various preparation methods.
