We can start by adding a way to indicate % (or amount) loss on each ingredient and this loss will be reflected in all recipes that contain this ingredient.
In addition, we could build in a function to specify the loss based on various preparation methods.

Currently, food cost must be calculated for all ingredients contained in a recipe in order for total food cost to be calculated.
This feature would add the ability to omit certain ingredients from the total food cost.1 vote
This would be useful in cases such as flour being purchased by kilogram and used in a recipe by cups. Conversion ratio is needed to make the calculation.
The app will learn the conversion ratio for a particular ingredient by asking how to convert from a unit of mass to a unit of volume. It will then use the density value whenever conversion from mass to volume is needed for that ingredient.2 votes
